What my degree in IPE didn't teach me about baking, DIY, fitness, and life…
Another week, another bunch of recipes, experiments, and DIY attempts. The rain continues to slow my garden plans, but I’ve managed to plant some basil pots and get my cucumbers replanted into my raised bed. This week holds loads of possibility as the weather is predicting two whole rain-free days. I’ve got my fingers crossed =)
Buckwheat Quinoa Pesto Summer Salad: A healthy Summer salad. Perfect for anyone that’s gluten or dairy free.
No-Bake Biscoff Cookies: Super easy, super quick, super addictive!
White Chocolate Cookie Dough Brownie Bars: Slightly healthified decadence.
Chocolate Cake with a Crazy Secret Ingredient (Chocolate Covered Katie): I’m not going to tell you what the secret ingredient is. Let’s just say it’s… unexpected. I’m seriously curious how this one works out in practice. But Katie has some awesome healthy dessert recipes. I’m going to trust her expertise.
DIY Marshmallow Cream (Annie’s Eats): Though I live in (and love) Brussels, I’m a New-Englander first and always. New England means fluffernutter (PB and Fluff). Yes it sounds crazy, but loads of us were raised on it. And though I tended (and still do – yes I plan to have peanut butter for lunch today) to prefer my peanut butter with honey or strawberry jam, making Fluff at home, from scratch, is too tempting to pass up.
Turkey and Cheese Monkey Bread Muffins (Crazy for Crust guest posting on I Wash…You Dry): Wow! She makes these as lunch for kids, using pre-made biscuit dough (so no waiting around for things to rise). My one question: can kids at heart have them too? I’ll give up my peanut butter for the day, I promise…
