It’s the last day July, the last day of National Ice Cream Month. I had a large Speculoos sundae to celebrate – yum! (Check it out, my speculoos nutella ice cream is featured on Crazy Sweet Tuesdays!) This has been a good week, with the start of the Olympics and some great inspiration to get out there and lace up my sneakers. Speaking of which, remember the last BBC app I shared with you, now there’s one to see which olympian you’re most like. I’m most like British synchronised swimmer Asha Randall and British 1500m runner Hannah England. To graduate from my undergraduate university, I had to have at least one gym credit. I wanted to try something I’d probably never get a chance to do again and signed up for synchronised swimming. Sadly it conflicted with my math class, so I had to drop it and took jazz dance instead. At the time, I thought I was making the right choice, but who knows, maybe I gave up a chance at olympic gold =p Anyway, here’s some sweet treats to start your August right.
Dipping Bread: My first in a series of Tempting Tidbit Trials, where I test out the recipes that I’ve featured on Temptation Tuesdays. This recipe test was a great success. Go Katrina!
Bakemasters Cake Olympics: A great party idea to celebrate the Olympic games.
Speculoos Cake (with a surprise ingredient): A yummy cake with a bit of a twist to make it a bit healthier. Perfect for cake puzzles =p
Biscoff Nutella Ice Cream: I suppose this isn’t surprising, but it’s terribly addicting!
Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookie Stuffed Brownie Cupcakes with Cookie Dough Frosting (Love from the Oven): I have a sugar high just typing that. This is an absolutely brilliant idea. I can’t wait to try it!
Peanut Butter & Honey Popcorn (What’s Cookin Chicago?): My favourite lunch turned into a tantalising movie snack food. Somehow I think this one is going to be hard to resist
Oatmeal Cookie Ice Cream (Chocolate Covered Katie): One last ice cream for the last day of National Ice Cream Month. =)
