I hope everybody had a good Easter weekend. Hubby and I had a great time, first Sunday with our church, then Monday hanging out with friends and finding Easter eggs! I can’t believe it’s April now. Did anybody play any good pranks yesterday? I thought about it, but nothing seemed quite right. I guess I’m not much of a prankster. The weather seems to have gotten us good though. Here it is April and we thought it was Spring – April Fools, haha still Winter. Here in Brussels, the sun is shining, but man it is still COOOLD. I’ve got my fingers crossed that I’ll get a couple of outdoor runs in before the end of this month. If not my very white (almost translucent) legs are going to seriously freak out the children when Spring finally does arrive. The treadmill is getting good use though, so that’s something. Anyway, enough rambling for me – time for the treats!
Cadbury Cream Cookie Cups: An Easter treat that incorporates the best bits of one of my favourite candies, without all the funny chemicals. Super easy and super tasty!
Brown Butter Milky Way Oatmeal Cookies (Sally’s Baking Addiction): Over the weekend, I tried my first brown butter cookie and WOW! I can’t believe what I’ve been missing. This one looks even better. It combines oats, brown butter, and candy – yum yum!
Cinnamon Buttermilk Coffee Cake (High Heels & Grills): I love a good coffee cake and I love how moist this one looks. We’ve got another brunch coming up. I think this is going to be what I bring.
Pinot Grigio Chicken with Citrus Glaze (Eat, Live, Run): A healthy main dish means more room dessert, even better if it’s super tasty! This one intrigues me because the citrus glaze doesn’t feature lemon (like most do), instead it’s orange and lime. I can’t wait to see how that tastes. The pictures look delicious!
